Yes, today is Mother’s Day.  I personally think that these designated days for a particular person, like Moms and Dads etc. are created for the purpose of generating business.  Now before you jump all over me, let me explain.

Success seems to elude the majority of people. If you were to ask them why they have not been able to succeed, they probably would not have a clue. They might say something to the effect that they were never given an opportunity, or that they just didn’t have enough money to get started. Honestly, these are just mere excuses. We all make them and they roll off the tip of our tongue so easily. However, invariably, these are not the real reasons why we have failed in our endeavours to be successful.

The school system has failed dismally is educating our children in financial matters. We now have a society of young people who have no idea how to handle their money effectively. Fortunately for some children, they have responsible parents who have taken their responsibility seriously and have educated their children, to the best of their ability, in financial matters.
But where does that leave all the other children?

Because of the difficult economic times that we are living in, more and more people are contemplating starting their own home-based business. Perhaps they are fearful of losing their job because of all the cutbacks. Certainly this is a legitimate fear but they are also fearful of stepping outside their comfort zone and becoming their own boss. They might just have to reprogramme their minds. In all likelihood their present mindset is not going to serve them well in being an entrepreneur.

Since we entered this world as a newborn, we have been subjected to the influence of others. If we were fortunate enough to have caring and loving parents, then we got off to a good start. Those first few years were crucial in the development of our psyche. Because so many of the orphans in [...]
